Turning a Passion for Japanese Dining into Greater Value and a Chance to Experience Japan Firsthand
For Thai consumers, Japanese cuisine has evolved from a distinctive dining choice into an integral part of everyday lifestyle. As diners have become more familiar with Japanese food and culture, their expectations have also evolved. While quality remains fundamental, factors such as value for money, brand identity, and the overall dining experience increasingly influence where consumers choose to dine.
This sustained interest is also reflected in data from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), which show that Japan’s exports of agricultural, forestry, fishery, and food products to Thailand reached approximately JPY 73.5 billion (around THB 15.75 billion) in 2025, up 17.1% year on year.
Against this increasingly sophisticated and competitive backdrop, MO-MO-PARADISE, the Japanese sukiyaki and shabu-shabu restaurant brand, is celebrating its 19th anniversary in Thailand, reflecting its ability to maintain consistent standards while building long-term relationships with Thai diners.
To mark the occasion, Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (KTC) and MO-MO-PARADISE Thailand are building on their longstanding partnership with the launch of “Tokyo is Calling: Dine, Save & Fly,” running from September 1 to November 30, 2026. The campaign combines dining privileges, KTC FOREVER point redemption, and the opportunity to win a trip to Japan, extending customers’ affinity for Japanese dining into a broader travel experience.
Ms. Varitta Phatanarajta, Head of Credit Card Marketing Division at KTC, said, “Today, dining is about more than choosing a restaurant or seeking value from a meal. For our cardmembers, it is increasingly connected to broader interests and lifestyles, particularly their affinity for Japan and Japanese culture, which continues to resonate strongly with Thai consumers.
“MO-MO-PARADISE is one of KTC’s key partners in the restaurant category and consistently ranks among the restaurants with the highest spending by KTC credit cardmembers. Its 19th anniversary therefore provides an opportunity to go beyond conventional dining privileges and create an experience that reflects what our members value. The campaign combines immediate benefits through discounts and KTC FOREVER point redemption with the opportunity to experience Japan firsthand.”
Mr. Surawech Telan, Chief Executive Officer of Noble Restaurant Company Limited, said, “Over the past 19 years, we have seen Thai consumers’ relationship with Japanese cuisine evolve significantly. What was once considered a new and distinctive dining experience has become part of everyday life. For MO-MO-PARADISE, this means our role goes beyond consistently delivering high-quality food and service. We also want to give customers meaningful reasons to return, spend time with us, and continue building experiences with the brand.
“This campaign is another way for us to thank our customers for their continued trust and support. By connecting their passion for Japanese cuisine with the opportunity to visit Japan, we are extending the MO-MO-PARADISE experience beyond the restaurant and bringing customers closer to the culture that inspires our brand.”
